Breathe. Let go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure.
– Oprah Winfrey
Do the one thing you think you cannot do. Fail at it. Try again. Do better the second time. The only people who never tumble are those who never mount the high wire. This is your moment. Own it.
– Oprah Winfrey
Every time you state what you want or believe, you’re the first to hear it. It’s a message to both you and others about what you think is possible. Don’t put a ceiling on yourself.
– Oprah Winfrey
Keep PUSHING. Stay Focus. NEVER quit DREAMING.

Please give a warm welcome to the Young, Fly L.A. based P.R. Maven on the rise…Sharon Sherron!!
What are three reasons you were attracted to this particular field?
I am obsessed with Public Relations, because I’m super creative. The second reason is because I have no desire to be in the spotlight, but I rather assist those who are just as passionate about the entertainment industry. And the third reason is all the difficult parts are fun to me, and if I could add a fourth, I LOVE SWAG!
What was your “Aha” moment when you knew you were going to pursue your passion full on?
I knew I wanted to pursue this passion full on because I went to a university where I could receive a focused degree in Public Relations, but I don’ think my “Aha” moment came until I came to LA, and I was in the mix every weekend at the Grammy’s and at the best events in the city.
They say starting the journey is the hardest, What was the first step you took to pursue your passion?
I think the first step was going to school (for me) but the most important step was being in LA. I came here on accident, and ended up staying and for me that was very important for my career. I gave me a chance to be taken serious as a PR professional because no one knew who I was. And it gave me an opportunity to learn outside of the courses I had taken with real life experience.
Stepping out on your dreams can be a vulnerable experience, what are your biggest challenges you had to overcome so far on your journey?
I’ve made the decision time and time to stay in a place where struggle is familar. NYC and LA are the two known spots you go to pursue your dream. They are also known for expensive living. So many times I have found myself in the position to give in and go home, because it gets sooooooo tough, but I enjoy the struggle because it has made me better, it really has. Challenges just include making the tough decision of whether to have a drink at a networking party the “fit in’ for save that $20 for groceries. And it’s tough but it will pay off.
What has been your greatest accomplishment so far?
Unfortunately I don’t think I’ve gotten their yet, but it’s coming I do believe.
Fear and doubt loves to poke it’s head out ever so often, What continues to keep you motivated?
What keeps me motivated are the friends I know who want to get out of where they are or specifically want to be in LA or NY. The fact that I am here and giving a try keeps me motivated to not have to go back to where I was {home}. I’m taking full advantage until I get a great accomplishment!
What is one thing that people would not guess by just looking at your life?
That my life is perfect: Loving parents, family and friends. It’s great actually, but I’ve had some low points. Including my birth father being killed in a car accident just 6 months after I was born. Because I had an awesome Step-father around since age 5, people assume I’m fine. But I just wish I would’ve had a chance to meet him.
Words of wisdom for people who would want to follow in your footsteps?
“Be grateful for the experience.” Especially when I started in LA I did everything for free, because why not. I needed to make money to survive, but there were so many opportunities granted to me that were just beneficial but not always paying. And also “find a mentor who believes in your gifts”
How are you using your gifts and talents to give back to the community?
I wanted to get involve with my church I reached out on a limb to participate in the youth ministry and my youthful spirit has translated into something bigger, because I have taken the initiative to be available to them whenever no question.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
So funny…I was creating a “dream board” with my boyfriend last night. It was for both us to to illustrate goals we have in the near future. In five years I’d like to have my own PR Firm in LA and maybe somewhere abroad in the works. I’d like to be a known Publicist for my positivity in the careers I’ve embraced. And I’d like to have started a family by then. Especially so I can send my kids to NY for the summer to hang out with their super stylish aunt Ellisa.
Where can people contact you?
I’m getting better with Twitter @ev1927pr or Facebook Sharon Sharon Sherron, yes you see it correctly. Catch me in San Fernando Valley just roaming around. I can often be spotted at Waffles & Waffles.

Ok I was debating posting this vid just because it’s everywhere already BUT after looking at it I had to! I love the colors and how it’s a feel good song BUT the REAL reason I love this vid is simply because of the two male dancers. They are clearly the HIGHLIGHT of the vid. I don’t know why they tickle me soo much but it’s hilarious and here are the following reasons of why….
1. You don’t know if they’re actually true dancers, they pretty much seem like they accidentally fell on the set and taught them that routine 15 minutes before.
2.Those moves are classic! It’s ALL about that “Hip Dip” and The “Flag Waving Hand.” Lol Love It.
3. Last BUT certainly not least these brothas’ seem sooo happy to be in this video doing these moves, it made life complete for them. Just saying.
Love the vid though…check it..

Ok, so you know it takes me about 10 months to complete a book since I’m always dabbling in about 15 things at once. Hmmm it’s sad…I know. Well, with that being said I’m finally finishing up with Eleven Minutes by Paulo Coelho. I’ve been marking up this book left and right with sections that caught my eye.
Below is a snippet from his book of how Plato explained love and why men & women need each other. I think it’s a beautiful concept…Enjoy!
“…I would quote from Plato. According to him, at the beginning of creation, men and women were not as they are now; there was just one being, who was rather short, with a body and a neck, but his head had two faces, looking in different directions. It was as if two creatures had been glued back to back, with two sets of sex organs, four legs and four arms.
The Greek gods, however, were jealous, because this creature with four arms could work harder, with its two faces, it was always vigilant and could not be taken by surprise, and its four legs meant that it could stand or walk for long periods at a time without tiring. Even more dangerous was the fact that the creature had two sets of organs and so needed no one else in order to continue producing.
‘Zeus, the supreme lord of Olympus, said:” I have a plan to make these mortals lose some of their strength.”
‘And he cut the creature in two with a lightning bolt, thus creating man and woman. This greatly increased the population of the world and at the same time, disoriented and weakened its inhabitants, because now they had to search for their lost half and embrace it and, in that embrace regain their former strength and their ability to avoid betrayal and the stamina to walk for long periods of time and to withstand hard work. That embrace in which two bodies re-fuse to become one again is what we call sex.’ “
